Let me tell you about myself...

My name is Ari Thompson. I am an illustrator focusing on creating engaging characters for games and illustrations that make brands stand out. A still healthy amount of my spare time is spent plane spotting — I love the challenge of identifying an aircraft on the fly with only a fleeting chance to snap the perfect photo. It’s a welcome balance to the attention to detail and continuous refinement needed for illustration. Caring for my really large cat, Skittles, and illustrating my own little universe of characters helps keeps me grounded.

I am a graduate of the Capilano University IDEA School of Design and am now based in Metro Vancouver, BC. I am available to take on a full time position or freelance work either remote or on-site.
